Selecting the Right Manufacturing Improvement Tools: What Tool? When?

So many tools, so little time
In previous chapters several of the more common and popular improvement tools and strategies were reviewed. It was also indicated that there are likely 100 or more of these tools available, so clearly not all of them were covered. Some of those not reviewed, while not as popular or common as those we've considered, deserve some mention. Those are discussed below. If your favorite tool has been omitted, that's not to say that it's not useful or important, but rather that it may not be known to the author. A listing of these additional tools is provided in Table C-1 and comes from SIRF-Roundtables, a networking organization in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1 These include many of those discussed in previous chapters.
