The CD-ROM to accompany Digital Communication Systems Using SystemVue contains the SystemVue Textbook Edition application software from Agilent EEsof (http://eesof.tm.agilent.com) that executes the simulation models in the text. The CD-ROM auto plays and installs the application software, the help files and the simulation models for each of the six chapters of this book, within individual chapter folders under the Examples folder. If the SystemVue Textbook Edition fails to install automatically, run the Setup application in the default directory of the CD-ROM. The simulation models are referenced by the figure number noted in the text, such as Fig1-1.svu.

The SystemVue Textbook Edition is a special application of the SystemVue Professional communication system simulator that, although somewhat restrictive, can execute the simulation models in the text. These restrictions include that the SystemVue simulation models here cannot be saved, no tokens can be added or deleted, and an existing token cannot be substituted for a different token in the same Standard Library or in the Optional Library.

However, the parameters of existing tokens in the SystemVue simulation models can be changed and there is no restriction on the SystemVue System Time. Advanced features of SystemVue that aren't used in the SystemVue simulation models here are also not available, such as the Automatic Program Generator, C Code Generation, and the Matlab M-link feature.
