Fibre Channel for SANs

This appendix contains references to documents available for further reference and detailed implementation.
Hardcopies of the standards documents may be obtained from Global Engineering Documents, An IHS Group Company, at http://global.ihs.com/. Also, electronic versions of most of the approved standards are also available from http://www.ansi.org, and at the ANSI electronic standards store at http://webstore.ansi.org.
Further information on ANSI standards and on both approved and draft international, regional and foreign standards (ISO, IEC, BSI, JIS, etc.) can be obtained from the ANSI Customer Service Department. References under development can be obtained from NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards), at http://www.x3.org.
All documents referred to as drafts are working documents and are actively being modified. They are made available for review and comment only.
This is not a complete set, even at the time of writing, but this set of documents covers most of the essential parts of the technology.
Physical and Signaling Interface
FC-PH: ANSI X3.230-1994, Fibre Channel Physical and Signaling Interface (FC-PH) original Fibre Channel standard. Also amended by ANSI X3.230-1994/AM 1-1996, Fibre Channel Physical and Signaling Interface (FC-PH) - Amendment 1.
FC-PH-2: ANSI X3.297-1997, Fibre Channel Physical and Signalling Interface-2 (FC-PH-2) Enhancements to FC-PH
FC-PH-3: ANSI X3.303-1998, Fibre Channel Physical and Signalling Interface-3 (FC-PH-3) Enhancements to FC-PH and FC-PH-2. Also, see ANSI NCITS 321-1998, Fibre Channel - Low-Cost 10-km Optical 1063-MBaud Interface.
