About the Author

Jerry Sevick's favorite subject is transmission line transformers. Many of his developments that are featured in this book were made in his home laboratory. He is also a licensed Amateur Radio operator and holds the call W2FMI. Jerry has authored over a dozen magazine articles on the subject of antennas. He is noted for a classic series on short vertical antennas that appeared in QST, the Amateur Radio journal of the American Radio Relay League.

Jerry earned a BS in education from Wayne State University in Michigan and a PhD in applied physics from Harvard University. Jerry's career reveals an interest in a variety of fields: He taught physics at Wayne State University, and spent two years as a weatherman at a network television station in Detroit.
