Raw and processed materials used in the building and construction industry.
Adhesives are organic or inorganic chemical compound for joining components. Coatings and sealers are liquid and viscous compounds used between surfaces to contain fluids, prevent leaks, and prevent infiltration of unwanted material. May also include compounds for filling gaps or seams.
Asphalt road surfacing materials include asphalt concrete and chipseal, an asphalt layered surface coated with bituman. A road surface, or pavement, is laid on the ground and is used to provide a durable path for vehicles or foot traffic.
Bore and duct spacers keep pipes, conduit, and cable racking supported and evenly spaced for underground encasement.
Building insulation materials consist of all types of products and materials to prevent the passage of heat.
Cleaning agents and surface treatments includes liquid cleaners, degreasers, strippers, passivators, etchants, solutions and additives for cleaning and surface preparation.
Electrical insulation and dielectric materials includes various forms of materials that surround and protect electrical conductors and prevent unwanted current flow, leakage or crosstalk.
Gas and vapor barriers are used on the exterior of buildings to allow air flow, but limit the passage of moisture.
Ground protection mats and portable roadways are temporary material installations that reduce damage to underlying surfaces from traffic and also provide better traction for equipment and individuals.
Pavers are casted blocks utilized in hardscaping to create even, durable surfaces for people and vehicles. Common materials include concrete, stone, clay, and rubber, amongst others.
Perforated sheet materials are used as screens in separators, walkways, sunscreens, ventilation, and decorative coverings. They are constructed by machining or punching holes in a piece of sheet metal or plastic.
Screens consist of a surface with openings of specific sizes. They may be made in many ways, including perforating a sheet, weaving metal wire or synthetic fibers or electroforming. Among other uses, screens are commonly used to provide open but secure separation for a clean environment and flying objects, debris or insects.
Industrial tapes are used for adhesive bonding, thread sealing, masking, packaging, wrapping, electrical insulation, and other specialized applications.
Wallboard is used to create a fireproof barrier in interior spaces. They are also used to provide decorative value.
Waterproofing membranes consist of waterproof plastic, rubber, or coated fabric materials. When properly installed, they are used to prevent the ingress of water into foundations, roofs, walls, basements, buildings and structures.
