Working Principle

Applications

FireWire is also used in multimedia connections, such as those involving digital audio stations and rewritable compact disc drives.

Advantages over other Data Storage Systems

FireWire offers several advantages over other data storage systems. It provides faster data transfer rates compared to traditional USB interfaces, making it ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications like video editing. The bus-powered architecture reduces the need for additional power supplies, simplifying the setup. Limitations

Despite its advantages, FireWire has limitations. Operating expenses are generally low, thanks to the bus-powered architecture.
