Airworthiness: An Introduction to Aircraft Certification—A Guide to Understanding JAA, EASA, and FAA Standards

The general classification of the certificates is provided by JAR 21, EASA Part 21, and FAR 21.
Subpart H provides requirements for the issue of Standard certificates of airworthiness.
Subpart L provides requirements for Export Airworthiness Approval.
At present, Subpart H provides requirements for:
Certificates of airworthiness issued to aircraft in accordance with Part 21.
Restricted certificates of airworthiness.
Permits to fly.
Subpart H provides requirements for:
Standard airworthiness certificates airworthiness certificates issued for aircraft type certificated in one of the Normal, Utility, Acrobatic, Commuter, or Transport categories, and for manned free balloons, and for aircraft designated by the Administrator as special classes of aircraft. [1]
Special airworthiness certificates Primary, Restricted, Limited, Light-Sport, and Provisional airworthiness certificates, special flight permits, and Experimental certificates.
Subpart I provides requirements for Provisional airworthiness certificates.
Subpart L provides requirements for Export Airworthiness Approvals.
