abstract container: An abstract container is an XML element that has been generally named or classified, with the intent of having multiple occurrences (e.g., multiple occurrences of rather than , , etc.).

Business-to-Business (B2B): Describes a type of Web site that is operated by a business and targets other businesses as the primary customer.
Business-to-Consumer (B2C): Describes a type of Web site that is operated by a business and targets consumers (individuals, groups).

Component: A decomposed part of a larger concept or object. Using the example of a postal or delivery address, the city is a component. Conceptually, the combination of all directly related components will represent the primary object from which they are decomposed.
Consumer-to-business-to-business (C2B2B): Combination of the business-to-consumer and business-to-business Web sites. The consumer interfaces with a business that in turn interfaces with one or more businesses. The consumer may or may not be aware that businesses other than the primary are involved.
container: In the case of XML, either an element or attribute. An object that contains or holds information (data) or another object.
context: The meaning or definition of an object, information, or item of data.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Combines the business functions of marketing, sales, personalization, customer service, customer retention, and analysis. The abilities to identify, target, attract, service, capture, grow, and retain customers are the basic objectives of customer relationship management.

data concept: A general classification for a type or collection of data in the abstract.
