ISO 9001: 2000 for Software and Systems Providers: An Engineering Approach

ISO 9001:2000 PARAGRAPH 8 Measurement, analysis, and improvement contains requirements that pertain to the overall quality system, to processes, and to product.
ISO 9001:2000 PARAGRAPH 8 eliminates the ambiguity of previous versions of ISO 9001 regarding the use of statistical techniques and imposes unequivocal requirements for monitoring and measuring processes and products and for analyzing the data produced by that monitoring and measuring. The graphs, reports, action items, and other results of the monitoring, measuring, and analysis are objective evidence that the processes are implemented.
Exhibit 8-1 summarizes the stated application of each of the paragraphs and paragraphs in ISO 9001:2000 PARAGRAPH 8.
