hardfacing
A surfacing variation in which hard material is deposited to reduce wear.
revestimiento duro

heat-affected zone (HAZ)
The portion of the base metal whose mechanical properties or microstructure have been altered by the heat of welding, brazing, soldering, or thermal cutting.

hexagonal close packed (HCP)
A unit cell in which two hexagons (six-sided shapes) form the top and bottom of the prism. An atom is located at the center and at each point of the hexagon. Three atoms, one at each point of a triangle, are located between the top and bottom hexagons. Among the common HCP metals are zinc, cadmium, and magnesium.
