	Ferrous Metals		Ferrous metals are metals that are iron-based. All ferrous metals are magnetic and are less corrosion resistant than non-ferrous metals. Examples of ferrous metals are mild steel, stainless steel, and high carbon steel.
	Nonferrous Metals		Metals or metal alloys that do not contain iron. Non-ferrous metals are not magnetic and are usually more resistant to corrosion than ferrous metals. Examples of non-ferrous metals are aluminum, brass, copper, lead, zinc and tin.
	Exotic Metals and Alloys		Metals and their alloys with special properties and applications; include such materials as beryllium copper, beryllium nickel, niobium, tantalum, and titanium.
	Composites		A solid material comprised of two or more substances that have distinct properties. When merged, each substance retains its own characteristics while imparting the entire composition with beneficial properties. For example, a plastic material in which a fibrous framework is embedded for greater structural stability.

	Angle		Supplier can provide a roll formed angle shape, typically with a 90-degree angle.
	Channel, C-shape		A C-shape is a three-sided channel that has the ends rolled in to form a shape like the letter C.
	Channel, U-shape		A U-shape is a three-sided channel in the shape of the letter U. It is similar to a C-shape channel except the ends are not turned inwards.
	Hat		Hat sections get their name because the cross-section resembles the shape of a hat. It is similar to both the C and U shapes except the ends are rolled outward at 90 degrees to the sides.
	Pipe		Material is rolled into a circular shape to form a pipe. Similar to a round tube section, but with a heavier wall thickness.
	Ring		Supplier can provide roll formed parts in the shape of a ring. This process is also referred to as ring rolling.
	T-shape		Supplier can roll form material in the shape of the letter T.
	Tube, Hex		Supplier can roll form material to a six-sided, or hex shaped tube.
	Tube, Round		Supplier can roll form material to a round tube.
	Tube, Square or Rectangular		Supplier can roll form material to a square or rectangular cross section.
	Z-shape		Z-shape sections resemble the letter Z or the letter S.
	Other		Other unlisted shape.

	Rolling Services

	Cold Rolling		Cold rolling reduces the gauge and forms metal by forcing it through a series of rolls at temperatures below the softening point of the metal to create strain, or work-hardening. The cold rolling process changes the mechanical properties of the metal, producing various combinations of hardness, strength, stiffness, ductility and other characteristics.
	Hot Rolling		Hot rolling reduces the gauge and forms metal by forcing it through a series of rolls at temperatures high enough above the softening point of the metal not to create strain hardening. Hot rolled steel is characterized by a rough, scaly surface.
	Temper Rolling		In temper rolling, the metal sheet or strip is subjected to a slight amount of cold rolling after annealing (usually ½ to 1 ½ %) to prevent stretcher strains. Temper rolling is also referred to as skin rolled or pinch pass.

	Annealing		Annealing is a heating and cooling operation, usually with a slow cooling cycle. Annealing may be used to remove stresses, induce softness, and alter ductility, toughness, electrical, magnetic, or other properties.
	Bending / Curving		Bending is one of the most common forming operations. It can be used to create flanges, seams, corrugations, and other shapes. Bending is typically applied after the roll forming process.
	Corrugating		Corrugating is the process of forming a sheet metal into a series of straight, parallel alternate ridges and grooves. Corrugating increases a material's strength to weight ratio up to 30% over original sheet.
	Cut to Length		Supplier can cut roll formed material to customer specified lengths.
	Embossing		Embossing is the raising or indenting of a design in relief on a sheet or strip of metal by passing between rolls of the desired pattern. Embossing may be done prior to the roll forming process and adds a decorative and/or functional appearance.
	Extrusion Services		Manufacturing of lengths of cross-sectional shapes and profiles by forcing material through a die of appropriate shape.
	Machining		Supplier has machining capabilities. Machining is the removal of material through milling, turning, drilling, and other processes.
	Notching, In-line		Notches can be provided during the roll forming process using punching dies that are incorporated directly into the roll form line.
	Notching, Pre / Post		Notches can be provided either before or after the roll forming process.
	Painting / Powder Coating		Supplier can provide painting to provide a protective and/or decorative coating. Powder coating is finishing technologies in which dry paint particles are electrostatic ally charged and applied to a smooth surface. Electrostatic attraction holds powder particles on the part surface until heat is added to flow the powder together and cure it. Parts must be electrically conductive. Although powder coating is most widely used on metal parts, recent technological developments have broadened the type of substrates to include glass, special plastics and wood.
	Plating / Coating		Applying a coating, or plating to the surface of a roll formed component. Coating or plating may be done in-line or post process. Examples plating and coating options are anodizing, galvanizing, zinc plating, copper plating, and nickel plating.
	Press Braking		Press braking is a manual process involving an operator placing the metal workpiece between a punch and die and against a gauge in a press brake machine to provide a pre-set bend or series of bends in the metal.
	Punching, In-line		Holes can be provided during the roll forming process using punching dies that are incorporated directly into the roll form line.
	Punching, Pre / Post		Holes can be provided either before or after the roll forming process.
	Skiving / Edge Conditioning		Skiving, deburring, or other edge conditioning processes. Skiving is a continuous machining process that uses a form tool to cut a trough in the surface of base metal strip stock into which the cladding metal is inlayed and subsequently bonded.
	Slitting		Cutting sheet or strip metal to narrower widths by rotary slitters.
	Stamping		Stamping is the process of creating three-dimensional parts, lettering, and other surface definition onto materials. This is achieved through the use of forms and dies which are forced into the surface of the material by extreme pressure. When removed, the patterns on the forms and dies are indelibly stamped into the material. Many standard and exotic engineering materials can be stamped or formed with pressure, although metal stamping is the primary application. Machinery used to perform stamping and forming services range from relatively simple manual presses to highly computerized progressive die processors, in which the part goes through multiple stages of pressing during its fabrication.
	Toll Processing		Toll processing, or processing deals, is the act of performing a process (such as slitting) on a material for a fee ("toll").
	Tool Making		Supplier has in house expertise and tool shop to create rolls and tooling necessary for production.
	Welding, In-line		Welding operations can be performed during the roll forming process.
	Welding, Pre / Post		Welding operations can be performed before or after the roll forming process.
