An accurate and reliable hygrometer, easy to use for spot measurement of trace moisture in gases and compressed air. The SADP portable dewpoint meter is suitable for rapid moisture checks in a wide range of industries including power generation, semi-conductor manufacture and pharmaceuticals.

The SADP utilises the SHAW ultra high capacitance aluminium oxide sensor. Proven over many years, this sensor is fast responding, reliable and accurate and has an overall range of -100 to +20 degrees Celsius dewpoint.

There are two key features to the SADP that are unique to all SHAW portable dewpoint meters, the Desiccant Head Assembly and AutoCal.

The unique design of the desiccant head assembly keeps the sensor dry between tests to ensure the instrument is always ready to carry out rapid spot checks. This is achieved by surrounding the sensor with desiccant prior to the head being lifted for sampling.

Since the desiccant and sensor are always isolated, the sensor will not come into contact with ambient air, giving the operator a meaningful reading in 5-10 minutes.

The other key feature of the SADP is the AutoCal function. The SHAW sensor can be exposed to any atmosphere which is wetter than the operating range of the dewpoint sensor, by raising the desiccant head and performing the AutoCal function on the instrument, generally room air is sufficient. The dewpoint sensor is now set up with the instrument and ready to use. The AutoCal potentiometer is located on the front of the instrument for accessibility along with a rotary three position switch to select the instrument setting.

AutoCal allows users to ensure accuracy between laboratory calibrations by checking the span of the hygrometer and correcting for any deviation. It can be carried out in situ and without any special equipment. This useful feature reduces downtime, minimizes calibration costs, gives immediate verification of the dewpoint system and allows users to ensure optimum measurement accuracy between laboratory calibrations.

Both the SADP and SADP digital are certified intrinsically safe to ATEX and IECEx standards traceable to the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and suitable for use in hazardous environments.

This portable hygrometer indicates dewpoint temperatures in degrees Celsius dewpoint, degrees Fahrenheit dewpoint and parts per million ppm(v) on the large, easy to read analogue display. Accuracy is guaranteed to better than one part in a million of moisture in very dry air or gas.

The SADP-D (digital model) offers indication in degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit only.

All SADP instruments are supplied with a carrying case and include a small screwdriver, Allen key, pressure calculator, instruction manual and PTFE sample hose.

To assist with sampling directly from process lines whilst protecting your portable hygrometer from high pressures and contaminants particularly in hydrocarbon applications, we supply compatible sample systems designed specifically for the SADP.

The SU2 and SU3 sample systems precondition the gas sample prior to taking dewpoint readings, providing ideal operating conditions.

The SU2 provides pressure regulation and flow control whilst the SU3 provides pressure regulation, flow control and a filter unit.

Both sample systems can be attached to the SADP carrying case and connected to the dewpoint meter via the hose tail fittings. With no stored energy, the attached sample system and instrument can be used in hazardous environments.
