Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence for e-Commerce

Part I provides the reader with the foundations upon which subsequent discussion about core technology, products, and integrated e-commerce systems architecture will be based. The focus of Part I is at the conceptual level: that is, we focus on the "what" and "why" aspects of e-commerce business intelligence and data warehousing rather than the in-depth "how" orientation of later chapters in this book.
Sufficient discussion about e-commerce basics and business models is provided for readers with only peripheral exposure to doing business on the Internet, but we avoid going into too much depth. Rather, this discussion will serve as the backdrop for the conceptual material in Part I about data warehousing in different facets of e-commerce:
Business-to-consumer (B2C)
Two variants of B2C in the form of consumer-to-consumer (C2C) and consumer-to-business (C2B)
