Lee's Loss Prevention in the Process Industries: Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control, Volume 3, Third Edition

The Advisory Committee on Major Hazards in its Third Report (Harvey, 1984) recommended that although its terms of reference were restricted to fixed installations, the major hazard potential from the transport of hazardous materials should also receive attention.
The HSC accordingly asked the relevant permanent committee, the Advisory Committee on Dangerous Substances (ACDS) to examine the matter. Its findings are presented in Major Hazard Aspects of the Transport of Dangerous Substances (ACDS, 1991) (the ACDS Transport Hazards Report).
