Build stuff. Robert delights in creating products that people find useful and enjoyable, whether he s working with invisible bits (such as designing a Web application) or with very real bolts (such as restoring his Victorian-era home). Build stuff better. Robert frequently turns a critical eye to the process of design, and especially enjoys learning from and sharing ideas with similarly-inclined people.

Eat sushi. His friends have simply given up asking what he feels like eating today, as the answer never changes.

OVERVIEW

Almost daily, Robert cringes as someone pushes the wrong button in his office building s elevator one of the slowest in the city and wishes he could simply press it once again to cancel the selection. He would also have appreciated a simple cancel mechanism last winter when his daughter discovered the panic button on his rental car s keychain at five o clock in the morning. What was the thinking behind these devices? How could they behave more appropriately? Robert puzzles at such questions almost constantly.
