Each supported Microsoft OS ships with its own version of the AU client; however, in order towork properly with WSUS it needs to be updated to the latest version. This is done when the clientmachine first contacts your WSUS server. The following sections provide a brief description of theAU client version history, and explains all of the AU client settings, what they are used for, andhow they function with the different settings that are applied.
