System Requirements

This CD-ROM was created in ISO 9960 format with Joliet extensions and is intended for use on IBM-compatible PCs running Windows 95 and later or Windows NT 4.0 and later. Long file names (up to 64 characters in length) are used on this CD-ROM.

Getting Started

Open Welcome.html in the top-level directory with your web browser. You can use any reasonably current browser for this purpose (such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer). This file describes the contents of the CD-ROM in detail, suggesting different ways in which these contents may be used, and provides references to pages on the World Wide Web that you may find useful.

Description of the CD-ROM Materials

This CD-ROM contains a varity of materials that we hope will allow you to more fully explore some of the topics that we have presented in our book.

We include Windows versions of Sybase's SQL Anywhere Studio 6.0.3 (evaluation copy), Oracle's SQLJ Reference Implementation Translator v1.0.1.1, Informix's Cloudscape v2.0.3 (evaluation copy), and Oracle's JDeveloper 3.0 (evaluation copy) on this CD-ROM.
