How can you prepare best prepare for an MPS3.0 deployment? Here are a few tips:
If you have an existing MetaFrame farm, will you upgrade or perform a new installation? If you plan to upgrade, you need to know what is supported and what is not. Of course, if you have the luxury of time, it is always best to do a new, clean install.
If you decide to upgrade and/or migrate to MPS3.0, there are a few caveats you must know before beginning. First, Citrix does not support an operating system upgrade. In other words, you cannot upgrade an existing Windows 2000, MetaFrame XP server to Windows Server 2003 and MPS3.0. If you choose to upgrade the operating system, you must do a new installation of MPS3.0. Further, you cannot downgrade a MPS3.0 server to prior versions of MetaFrame.
