Section Two: Comprehensive HPI Resources

This section is for those who do not have the time or inclination to pursue a comprehensive academic solution to their skill and knowledge gaps, but want a broad overview of the Human Performance Improvement field. This part of the resource guide will provide:

• Recommended readings: Current publications that will provide an overview of HPI. Descriptions of these books are typically available at www.amazon.com and www.bn.com.

• Workshops: Publicly offered workshops that will provide an overview of HPI and, in some cases, begin to develop critical HPI competencies. Descriptions of these workshops are typically available from each vendor's website, which is provided.

• Self-study options: Nonclassroom training solutions including self-study text, video, audio, computer-based training (CBT), CD/ROM. Descriptions of these self-study options are typically available from each vendor's website, which is provided.

• Other development opportunities: A list of nontraditional ways to understand and gain skills in HPI.
