4.5 Polypropylene (PP)

In recent years, rotomouldable grades of polypropylene have become available. This material is much stiffer than HDPE and its density is lower (900 kg/m ³) than that of LDPE. A difficulty is that polypropylene has a ductile-brittle transition temperature close to room temperature. This means that the processing window for polypropylenes can be very small, and this makes them unattractive to many rotomoulders.
