The LV9000 toolkit consists of a set of documentation templates and style standards. In this section, we?ll step through the entire LabVIEW development process from planning to delivery with the toolkit providing help along the way.
It?s impossible to provide a set of magic documents that cover every conceivable need. Instead, LV9000 supplies some generic documents and checklists that you should modify to suit your particular project. You should create stationery documents in a word processor, especially for the test procedures since there are likely to be a large number of them. Design a format that you are happy with. Include ?boilerplate? paragraphs where appropriate. Put in instructions or reminders to the document editor. For instance, if you always forget to update the footer or header, insert some big, bold text that says, ? Update the header, dummy. ?
