Not really! You've assembled the greatest team ever! They are like a herd ready to stampede. You just need to point them in the right direction a goal. That goal, which coincidentally is the hypothetical development project used throughout this book, is to design a 4-gigabit IPV4/IPV6 tunneling router with additional fabric header processing. This book walks you through the design of this project using all of the tools in the Intel Internet Exchange Architecture (Intel IXA) Software Development Toolkit (SDK). Not only will you learn the basics of each tool, but also the advanced features to really put you in high gear. In the end, you will be an expert on IXP2XXX Product Line tools.

What Hat Do You Wear?

What hat do you wear? Are you a jack of all hats? This book has five sections, one for each member of your team. However, as in any team project, it is good to know what the others are doing so that later, during system integration, the pieces play together correctly. So you should at least look at the pretty pictures in other sections. Most importantly, refer to Figure 1.1 as a substitute for any other illustration in the book.
