Help with Toggle Clamps specifications:
Type

Type | A toggle clamp is a quick-acting mechanical linkage where two of the elements make up a toggle action. Actuating the clamp first moves it into position, then applies clamping force by compressing or stretching the linkage elements after contacting the workpiece, then positively locks it by moving the toggle action's center pivot past the centerline of the other two pivots, against a stop.

Cam Action Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Cam clamps are similar to vertical clamps, but the clamping force is generated by the action of a roller on a cam. The cam action allows components of differing thickness to be clamped without readjustment of the clamping spindle.
Diagonal Hold-down | Similar to horizontal toggle clamps, but diagonal handle hold-down clamps are in the locked position when the handle is in a diagonal position. These clamps have a low profile.
Edge | Toggle edge clamps apply force both forward and downward at the same time.
Hook Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Hook clamps pull two parts together to make them suitable for applications such as closing and holding closed doors, lids, molds, etc. Hook clamps may require a separate fixed catch.
Horizontal Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Horizontal toggle clamps are in the locked position when the handle is in the horizontal position. These clamps have a low profile.
Latch Action Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Latch type clamps, also known as pull clamps, use a pull action to tighten. They are ideal for latching, locking or fastening doors or fixtures. Latch clamps may be provided in horizontal or vertical configurations and may require a separate fixed catch.
Pliers Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Plier clamps are handheld clamps that are configured similar to a set of pliers. A squeeze action is used to close or toggle the clamp. Plier clamps may be referred to as squeeze clamps.
Pull Back Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Pull back clamps have a similar action to that of a plier clamp, but have a method of mounting the body.
Push / Pull (Straight Line) Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Push / pull clamps have a plunger that travels in-and-out to provide push-and-pull forces. The clamp may lock in either the push-or-pull position. They may also be referred to as plunger-style or straight line clamps.
Vertical Courtesy of 3Sixty Group
|
Vertical toggle clamps are in the locked position when the handle is positioned vertically.
Other | Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary toggle clamp type.

Actuation: | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Electric | Electric clamps offer quick, automated clamping.
Hydraulic | Hydraulic clamping offers a smooth clamp action for improved life and quality. The speed of loading and unloading is increased. Cylinders or swing clamps are often used in basic hydraulic clamping systems.
Manual | Manual clamps use some kind of mechanical advantage in securing the workpiece. Manual clamps include the ever popular vise, strap clamps, edge clamps, and toggle clamps. Manual clamping is operator dependent and is difficult to automate in unmanned systems.
Permanent Magnet | The clamp is actuated by a permanent magnet.
Pneumatic | Pneumatic clamps offer smooth, quick, automated, and hands-free clamping.
Vacuum | The clamp uses a vacuum to hold the workpiece.
Other | Other unlisted or specialty clamping actuation.

Spindle Position | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Adjustable | Adjustable clamps feature two flanged washers to hold the spindle in place anywhere along the arm by tightening the jam nuts. These clamps offer maximum flexibility and may also be referred to as U-bar clamps or open-arm clamps.
Fixed | The spindle is fixed permanently in place, typically by welding. They may also be referred to as solid-arm clamps.

Clamping Force | The clamping force, or holding force, is the force the closed arm transmits to the workpiece, without itself being deformed when machine forces apply. When maximum force is reached, the hinged point goes over the dead center, thereby ensuring the action is locked and cannot be released until such time as the handle is returned to its original position.
Search Logic: | User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Plunger Travel (for Push/Pull Clamps Only) | The overall plunger travel for straight line or push/pull clamps only.

Base Orientation | This describes the orientation of the mounting base and is a separate designation from the action of the toggle which may also be referred to as horizontal or vertical.
Your choices are... | |||
Horizontal | The mounting base is oriented in a horizontal position.
Vertical | The mounting base is oriented in a vertical position.
Other | Other, specialized, or proprietary base orientation.
