Molded in general purpose ABS plastic with soft TPE sides, 1553 series enclosures fit comfortably in the hand. The recessed top area is the ideal place for a label, membrane keypad, or display. 

Available models include those with a single removable end panel, two removable end panels, and battery doors and compartments, with many sizes available in a variety of colors such as gray, black, red, blue, and yellow. 

Battery compartment versions include clips for AA batteries and a clip for 9V batteries. 

Other accessories include BusBoard PCBs (for 1553B, C, and D sizes, not compatible with battery compartments), IR end panels, belt clips, replacement battery doors, and replacement end panels.
