Description
Voltage Hall Effect Proximity Sensors are devices that detect the presence of a magnetic field and generate a corresponding voltage output. These sensors are used to monitor proximity and provide continuous rotary or linear positioning by responding to changes in magnetic field intensity.
Working Principle
The working principle of Hall Effect Proximity Sensors is based on the Hall effect, discovered by E.H. Hall in 1879. A constant current is passed through a semiconductor material, and when this material is exposed to a magnetic field, a voltage is generated across the material. This voltage is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. The sensor essentially acts as a transducer, converting the magnetic field into an electrical signal.
