Advantages over other Automation Equipment and System Integrators
One of the key advantages of CAD/CAM systems is their ability to handle complex parts manufacturing on 4- and 5-axis CNC equipment, which simplifies and automates the creation of multiaxis hole drilling operations. They also offer enhancements like micro lifts that reduce air cutting and improve machine cycles, making them more efficient than traditional automation equipment.
Limitations
Despite their advantages, CAD/CAM systems may have limitations in terms of their CAM capabilities, especially in systems with a heavy CAD emphasis.
