OpenVMS System Management Guide, 2nd Edition

There are two parts to this appendix. The first deals with console commands for the various VAX and Alpha computers. The second, courtesy of Paul Hardy, is a summary listing of all (as of 1998) VAX and Alpha computers, including CPU speed, code names, and so forth.
Most system-management tasks are similar, whether you manage a MicroVAX or VAX 6000. However, boot procedures can vary dramatically from machine to machine because of the variety of system buses to which a boot device might be attached. Fortunately, systems with the same bus type have similar boot procedures. As a result, boot procedures described in chapter 4 are organized by the various system bus types described in table C.1.
