The migration of toxic primary aromatic amines such as aniline and less toxic secondary aromatic amines derived from a series of phenylenediamine antiozonants containing thioether and sulphoxide groups was investigated using vulcanised styrene-butadiene rubber containing the antiozonants with various food simulants. The results are discussed in comparison with those obtained using N-phenyl-N -(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-p-phenylenediamine as antiozonant. 11 refs.
