About the Author

After earning a degree in physics at Oxford University (where, coincidentally, he was a member of the same college as P. M. Woodward, whose work has been the starting point for this book), David Brandwood joined, in 1959, the Plessey Company's electronics research establishment at Roke Manor-now Roke Manor Research, a Siemens company.
