CONVERTING SPACE AND ADDING NEW BATHROOMS

Converting existing space and adding new bathrooms in the space can be a major job. This type of work can be far more advanced than standard bathroom remodeling. Code issues come into play. When you are dealing with buildings that have multiple stories, this can result in problems. Buildings that don't have access below the floor of the lowest level of living space complicate matters. This is not a job for rookies. But, it is good work with high profit potential.

Some homes and buildings have existing space that can be converted to a bathroom without a need for major framing and construction. Other situations require the bathroom space to be framed up and created. The framing is the easy part. Electrical work is usually not too difficult, but the plumbing elements of the bathroom can be challenging. Access and existing conditions have a lot to do with the level of difficulty involved in the remodeling process. You have to do your homework well before you bid these jobs.

Did You Know?

that bathrooms must have either a window that opens to open air or an exhaust fan that is vented to outside air? This is fact, so keep it in mind when you are sizing up a bathroom addition.
