  • Adhesive Bonding - A Designers Guide on Development of Advanced Medical Adhesives by Master Bond
The transparent MB297 cyanoacrylate adhesive has a refractive index of 1.48, a Shore A hardness of 85, and excellent resistance to most environmental conditions such as moderate heat, aging, and many chemicals. It has a volume resistivity of 8.6 x1012 ohm-cm and a dielectric constant of 3.5 at 1,000Hz.
  • Pseudo-elliptic bandpass filter with subharmonic stubs
Measured results: A prototype SHS filter was constructed in microstrip on RT Duroid 5880 with a dielectric thickness of 1.57 mm, relative dielectric constant of 2.2 and loss tangent d ¼ 0.0009. The series stub was constructed of a strip of the same RT Duroid, 5 mm wide and 98 mm long, and bonded to the top of the subharmonic stubs with cyanoacrylate adhesive .

The quality factor of the resonator depends on the conductivity of the materials used, the dielectric constant , E, of the materials between the conductors, and the uniformity of the gaps. The slotted copper tubes are then inserted into fused silica (quartz) tubes (ID=4mm, OD=6.4mm) and affixed to the inner surface using a cyanoacrylate adhesive with care taken to keep the gaps smooth and free of adhesive.

  • Cutoff‐free traveling wave NMR
A glass tube of length 4.08 cm and a 5.46 mm i.d. was placed over the exposed inner conductor and sealed using Teflon2 tape and a cyanoacrylate -based adhesive (Super-Glue1 ) at both ends. Initial test experiments were conducted on a sample of mineral oil because it has a dielectric constant (e) of 2.1 which was close to that of the inner insulator of the coaxial cable (e(polyeth- ylene) = 2.3), keeping the …
