Windows NT allows you to delete messages permanently by simply right-clicking on the deleted items bin, then choosing Empty Folder. In addition, you can also retain deleted messages and then later remove them manually. This can be accomplished by selecting Tools/Options and then choosing the General tab, and deselecting the "Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting."

The best Exchange Server configuration will employ a combination of both hardware Raid 5 disk array and RAID 1 or Mirrored disks sets. In the last step, it takes a large amount of memory to run your applications with the best performance possible. Microsoft recommends at least 16 MB, but I recommend at least 32 MB if not 48 MB or more. Right now memory prices are very economical and the benefit they bring in terms of speed and performance is worth the investment.
