1.6 STATE MODEL OF A LINEAR SINGLE-INPUT-SINGLE-OUTPUT SYSTEM

The state model of a linear single-input-single-output system can be obtained by putting m = 1 and p = 1 in the state model of a linear multi-input-multi-output system as





d = Transmission Constant

u(t) = Input or Control Variable (scalar)

and, y(t) = Output Variable (scalar).

The block-diagram representation of the state model of linear single-input-single-output system is shown in Figure 1.3.
