Description
Petroleum or mineral oil-based mold releases and release agents are products designed to prevent materials from sticking or adhering to mold surfaces. Working Principle
These mold releases and release agents work by lowering the surface energy of the mold surface. By reducing surface tension, the polarity of molecules in the working material has no attraction to the release agent, which prevents adhesion. This is achieved through the formation of a film that acts as a barrier between the mold and the material being molded, allowing for easy separation once the molding process is complete.
Applications
