Download the most recent patchset for your release of Tru64 UNIX. The patchsets are cumulative containing all fixes in previous patchsets.

Check for any special Tru64 UNIX patch requirements with Oracle support. Your release of Oracle may need additional patches not included in a normal point patch release from Compaq.

1. Save the patchset in the following location /usr/local/patches.

   rac1> ls /usr/local/patches

   T64V51B18AS0004-20011114.tar

2. Extract the files from the tar archive.

   rac1> tar xf T64V51B18AS0004-20011114.tar

3. Use dupatch to install the Tru64 UNIX patches on your system. Enter a period to specify the current directory for the patch distribution.

   rac1> ./dupatch

   • Enter path to the top of the patch distribution,

   • or enter "q" to quit : .
