TABLE OF CONTENTS The amount of management support needed for organization development, training and development, and human resource development programs are critical to their success. In most situations the amount and quality of support managers are willing to provide is directly linked to their perception of the effectiveness of the programs. If the programs are achieving results and helping the organization reach its goals, managers are often willing to support the programs, provide resources to make them successful, reinforce specific behavioral objectives, and become more actively involved in the process.
The following instrument provides an assessment of the extent to which managers perceive that programs are achieving results. It provides the organization with an assessment of the effectiveness of training and development, human resource development, and organization development as perceived by the managers.
