QuickTime for the Web: For Windows and Macintosh, Second Edition

This appendix tells you what's on the CD that comes with this book. The CD is divided into these sections:
a Software folder that contains the QuickTime 5.02 installer, which installs QuickTime, including QuickTime Player, on your hard drive
a Tools folder, containing free tools and templates designed to help you with various multimedia tasks
a Demos folder with lite or trial versions of some QuickTime development applications, to give you a feel for what these apps can do
a series of folders named after the chapters in this book, containing the Web pages and movie files called out in the text
folders named MacRedistributable and WinRedistributable, containing files with HTML, JavaScript, and QuickTime movie content that you are free to redistribute (use them in your own projects to give away or sell)
an HTML page, Start.htm, that provides guided access to the material in the chapter folders
The CD is designed to be an integral part of this book. Feel free to view the movies and Web pages, take them apart using QuickTime Player and the apps in the Demos folder, and copy their contents onto your own computer. These resources are here to help you. The easiest way to navigate the CD is to open the file Start.htm in your browser and run the audio tour.
