Artificial War: Multiagent-Based Simulation of Combat

There are two main versions of EINSTein (three, if one includes EINSTein s DOS-based predecessor program, called ISAAC [*]): (1) Version 1.0.0.0 ? and older, and (2) Version 1.0 and newer. Differences between these two versions both cosmetic and substantive are outlined in Appendix F (page 651).

An IBM-compatible Pentium class CPU. For best performance, a Pentium III/IV or higher class CPU with 1 GHz clockspeed or higher is recommended.
Microsoft Windows-Me/XP or Windows 2000.
A minimum of 128 MB RAM. 256+ MB RAM is preferred.
Approximately 15 MB Hard Disk space, with 30+ MB recommended for storing various data, run and output files.
Note: Dialogs will appear incomplete and/or otherwise truncated if run in screen resolutions < 1024-by-768 with large fonts.
The installation steps outlined here assume the user is installing EINSTein version 1.0.0.4 ?. Except for certain files and the appearance of the programs opening About screen, the installation procedure for both versions is the same. Version 1.0.0.4 ? may be downloaded from internet at URL address
