TABLE OF CONTENTS There are limited-time license, demonstration versions of four custom computer programs provided on the CD-ROM with this book: programs Dynacam, Fourbar, Sixbar, and Slider.These are professional editions of the programs intended to be used by qualified personnel familiar with the principles of good engineering practice and with the topics discussed in this book and in reference [1]. The authors and publishers are not responsible for any damages that may result from the use or misuse of these programs.
These programs need a Pentium or better processor. The programs, especially Dynacam, are large and use significant computer resources. A minimum of 64M of RAM is desirable. Dynacam may require that all other applications be shut off in order to run in a computer with otherwise insufficient memory. A CD-ROM drive is needed, as is a hard disk drive.
These custom programs are written in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and work on any computer that runs Windows 95/98/2000/NT.
The demonstration versions of these programs are supplied with this book at no charge and allow up to 30 runs over a period of 90 days from first installation. Certain features are disabled in the demonstration versions, such as the ability to open or save files, [1] and to output cam profile or linkage coordinate data. If you wish to have the fully functional program, you must register it and pay the license fee defined on the Registration screen.
