Fundamentals of Engineering Examination Review 2001-2002 Edition

Engineers, as members of a profession, are expected to conduct themselves in an ethical manner. By this is mean that engineers must be aware of the standards of professional conduct (the ethical standards) and abide by them.
There are codes of ethics that have been prepared by the various national engineering societies, the engineering accreditation board (ABET), and by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). The one reproduced in the Fundamentals of Engineering Reference Handbook is the NCEES Model Rules of Professional Conduct. Thus it is reasonable to assume that it is this code of ethics on which the exam is based.
