Wheel | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Metal / Forged Wheel | The wheel is made completely from metal. This includes both the tread and the hub.
V-grooved Wheel | The wheel is V-shaped for riding on a track. V-grooved wheels can also run directly on floors.
Flanged Track Wheel | The wheel has a flange on one or both sides and is designed for riding on a track. Flanged track wheels cannot run directly on floors because of the amount of bearing surface area on the flanges.
Plastic Wheel | The wheel is made of plastic.
Pneumatic Wheel | The wheel is air-filled and typically consists of a rubber tire on a metal rim. The assembly may include an inflatable tube, or be tubeless.
Phenolic Wheel | Phenolic wheels are made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with synthetic resin. When heat and pressure are applied, a chemical reaction (polymerization) transforms the layers into a high-pressure, thermosetting, industrial-strength, laminated plastic.
Solid Polyurethane Wheel | The wheel is made of solid polyurethane.
Poly on Metal Wheel | The tread of made of polyurethane and the hub is made of metal, usually iron, aluminum, or stainless steel.
Poly on Plastic Wheel | The tread is made of polyurethane and the hub is made of plastic.
Solid Rubber Wheel | The wheel is made of solid rubber.
Rubber on Metal Wheel | The tread is made of rubber and the hub is made of metal, usually iron, aluminum, or stainless steel.
Rubber on Plastic Wheel | The tread is made of rubber and the hub is made of plastic.
Stainless Steel Wheel | The wheel is made entirely of stainless steel.
