ABOUT THE CD-ROM

CD Content

System Requirements:

The executable programs found on the CD-ROM will function on any PC Compatible computer running at least the Window 98 Operating System. The code was developed using a 2002-grade PC running the Windows XP Operating System.

Compiler:

Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 was used to develop and compile the C-language code.

Executables and Figure Images in the CD-ROM root Directory:

Executables are generated for each image found on the CD-ROM.

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer (a component of Windows XP) was used to convert the 6000 4800 24-bit color BMP images generated by the executables into PNG-format graphics files. PNG portable graphics format is used for all the CD-ROM images.

Printing Figure Images found on the CD-ROM:

Use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer in Windows XP to print the images on a 600dpi printer [6000 4800 = (600dpi 10 ?) ( 600dpi 8.5 ?)]. Rendering resolution can be modified in the main program section of the code.

Code in the CD-ROM source Directory:

In order to make code compilation and adaptation easy for the reader, code that would commonly be in the form of a collection of .cpp/.c modules with .h header files was brought together into one cdwAEMplot.cpp file.
