Globe valves are generally cost-effective due to their easy maintenance and long service life. However, the higher pressure drop they create can lead to increased operating expenses in certain applications. Durability is typically high, but the specific materials used in the valve construction should be chosen based on the fluid type and operating conditions to ensure long-term performance.
