Description
Common-Mode Choke Chip Inductors are compact electronic components designed to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) in electronic circuits. These devices effectively filter out common-mode noise while allowing differential-mode signals to pass through unimpeded. Common-Mode Choke Chip Inductors are typically constructed using two identical windings on a single core, providing balanced impedance for both conductors in a circuit.
Working Principle
Common-Mode Choke Chip Inductors operate on the principle of magnetic coupling between two closely wound coils. When common-mode noise enters the circuit, it creates equal and in-phase currents in both windings. These currents generate magnetic fields that reinforce each other, resulting in high impedance and effectively blocking the noise. Conversely, differential-mode signals produce opposing magnetic fields that cancel out, allowing the desired signals to pass through with minimal attenuation.
