This observation leads to the conclusion that a common design stud with exhibiting features as the controlled root stud will not meet the requirements of common design across the current production exhaust manifold materials. It should be noted that an additional material selection ( stainless steel powered metal) was not part of this experiment and should be considered in future evaluations.
