CD and DVD Forensics

The Volume ID field shows the volume identifier or name of the disc. For HFS discs, this can be up to 31 ASCII characters. For HFS+ discs, this can be up to 255 Unicode characters.
The Files field shows the number of files declared in the file system. This can differ from the number of files shown by the Analysis tool, which counts the files that are present.
The Directories field shows the number of directories declared in the file system. It can differ from the number of directories shown by the Analysis tool, which counts the directories that are present.
The Allocation Size (Bytes) field shows the size of an allocation block for the HFS or HFS+ volume. Allocation blocks are similar to clusters for File Allocation Table (FAT) or New Technology File System (NTFS) file systems on a hard drive. Due to the construction of HFS and HFS+ CDs and DVDs, it is unusual to find anything other binary 0s in the trailing part of an allocation block.
The Allocation Block field shows the number of allocation blocks that are present on the media.
The Free Blocks field shows the number of free allocation blocks present on the media. This is usually 0 for all CDs and DVDs.
The Volume Created field shows the date and time the volume was created. No time zone information is present.
