Instant DVD Workshop 2.0

In order to install Ulead's DVD Workshop 2.0 on your computer the operating system must be Windows XP or Windows 2000 with DirectX 9 or later. You can download DirectX from Microsoft's web site. You must also have 500MB of disk space available for program installation and a 16-bit color graphics card with a resolution of at least 1024 768.
For optimum application responsiveness, smooth previews, faster encoding, and faster disc creation times you should have a Pentium 4 2GHz processor, at least 512MB of RAM, and ample disk space for capturing and storing video and audio files, at least 40GB because one hour of digital video (DV) requires 13GB of hard disk space.
Because there isn't much use to creating (also called authoring) projects in DVD Workshop without a means to burn them to disc, you will need a recordable DVD drive to create DVDs or a CD-RW drive to create video CDs (VCDs and SVCDs).
If video from a Hi8 video camera or VCR is to be captured, then a video capture card that converts analog to DV or MPEG must be installed. The ADS DV Bridge is excellent for this because it is capable of converting to either DV or MPEG in real time. To capture video from a FireWire digital video camera you will need to have a FireWire port (often called IEEE 1394 or OHCI) on your computer. Make sure that any FireWire card you install has OHCI in the specifications.
