POSITIONING. DEC has positioned itself as a niche marketer of prime coatings and packaging for both the OEM automotive manufacturers' service parts operations and for a variety of Tier II and aftermarket companies.
STRATEGIES. Additional sales are critical to the continued success of DEC and must be pursued aggressively. Improved performance with our current customers offers the best opportunity for additional business. Pursuing new customers will occur at the same time.
To support these strategies and our company goals, we plan to meet these marketing objectives by:
Pursuing both current and new customers to increase E-coat sales by a minimum of 15% and packaging by a like amount during 1998.
Developing our inside sales organization to fully support our customers in technical issues.
Adding additional independent sales representatives and outside salesmen to support this effort.
Utilizing our Empowerment Zone location to help penetrate large automotive customers.
Establishing partnering relationships with our customers to obtain more of their business.
Marketing finish coating services aggressively when we are in a position to add this system to our facility, and,
Developing and implementing a program for marketing warehousing space.
