Advanced Quality Planning: A Commonsense Guide to AQP and APQP

Operations

We have substantial experience within our company in all areas of painting, finish packaging, stamping, welding, and assembly. We will utilize that experience to improve the efficiency of our operations and provide a level of service that will be the "benchmark" for our industry. To implement this direction and support our company's goals, we will meet or exceed the following objectives by the following actions.

  1. Implement systems that will allow us to adequately track and control our process to "best in class" levels.

  2. Improve the production control process to assure that all material being processed through our plant meets or exceeds customer timing and shipping requirements.

  3. Reduce manufacturing cost by a minimum of 5% in current operations through improved efficiency and implementation of control systems.

  4. Provide necessary training to allow all employees to perform their jobs to specification.

  5. Provide all necessary support to the achievement of QS-9000.

  6. Maximize efficiency by cross-training workers to improve their skills and provide the company with improved flexibility.

  7. Utilize our trucking service to provide a cost beneficial support service for our customers.

  8. Reduce in-plant quality problems by a minimum of 15% during 1998.

  9. Integrate the remaining stamping operations into the DEC system.

  10. Repair, clean, and segment the warehouse for leasing.

  11. Plan, lay out, and bring on line a new powder coat finish paint facility to expand our business.
