Help with Conduit Fittings specifications:

Type

   Your choices are...
Adapter       Adapters are fittings designed to connect different types of pipe together (material, cross-sectional shape, etc.).
Bulkhead Fitting       Bulkhead fittings are designed to mount on to a wall or bulkhead and to allow a pipe connection on either side of barrier.
Cap       Caps are designed to attach on over the outside of a pipe end to dead-end the flow. Attachment techniques include welding, brazing, adhesives, and threads, depending on application and material.
Coupling       Couplings are designed to join two pieces of conduit.
Elbow       Elbow fittings allow for a 90° change in direction frequently includes a curve or radius.  Elbows are also called "Ells".
Expansion Joint       Expansion joints connect sections of conduit and provide allowance for movement due to service load, shock, or thermal cycles.
Flange       Flanges can be fit onto conduit ends to provide mounting geometry.
Flexible Metal Connector       The fitting is used to connect to flexible metal conduit.
Gooseneck       Gooseneck fittings are in the shape of an inverted “J” and are used for wiring to a lamp or exterior lighting.
Liquid Tight Connector       The fitting provides liquid tight seal between connector and conduit body.
Nipple       Nipple is a common description of a short piece of conduit for joining two pieces, typically with male threaded ends.
Offset       Fitting between runs of conduit that are parallel but not aligned.
Outlet Box       An outlet box contains and protects electrical outlets at the end of a run of wire or cable.
Plug       Plugs are designed for insertion into a conduit end to dead-end the run.
Pull / Junction Box       Pull boxes are used at junctions where two runs of conduit meet, and serve as a way to reduce strain on the wire between successive pulls.
Pull Elbow       Similar to a pull box, pull elbows are covered with a removable plate or lid for access for pulling wire through.
Reducer       A reducer is a fitting with different size ends to mate conduit of different diameter. Concentric reducers join conduit runs on the same axis.
Setscrew Connector       The connector uses a setscrew to attach to conduit.
Squeeze Clamp Connector       A clamp is used to hold on to conduit diameter.
Sweep       Sweeps are bends, typically 90° that curve more gradually than a tight-radius elbow. See the Size selection below for specifying desired sweep radius.
Tee       Three-port fitting in the shape of a "T".  Standard configuration indicates that the straight-through path (typically called the "run") and the perpendicular section ("branch") all have the same size ports.
U / Return       Most commonly in a 180° "U" shape. These fittings can be used to reverse conduit direction.
Wye       Three-port fitting in the general shape of the letter "Y" or in which a branch departs the run at an angle other than 90°. The designation "standard" refers to the three outlets being the same size.
   Other       Other unlisted fitting.

   Material
   Your choices are...
Aluminum       Aluminum is a common industrial conduit with good electrical and thermal conductivity, high reflectivity, and resistance to oxidation.
Fiberglass       There are three types of fiberglass conduit: standard, XW type, and phenolic. Standard is for basic industrial applications; XW type is used in Class 1 Division 2 applications, and phenolic are used in high temperature electrical applications.
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)       Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a widely used material that has good flexibility, a smooth surface, and nontoxic qualities. Some grades are used in food and chemical processes due to the inert nature of PVC. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) is a grade of PVC engineered to withstand higher temperatures than standard PVC.
PVC Coated Aluminum       Aluminum is coated with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
PVC Coated Steel       Any steel grade with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating.
Nylon       Nylon grades, such as 6/6, can offer flexibility and good water resistance.
Polyester       Polyester is a family of grades of thermoplastics with good toughness and sometimes high flexibility.
Polyethylene / HDPE       Polyethylene or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) is a light, tough plastic with excellent corrosion resistance and good water barrier qualities.
   Steel       Basic multipurpose steel conduit.
Galvanized Steel       Galvanized steel has a protective coating of zinc for resistance against corrosion. Galvanized coatings are rated by their weight and carry designations such G30, G60, and G90. Heavier coatings generally provide higher corrosion resistance.
Stainless Steel       Stainless steel is chemical and corrosion resistant and can have relatively high pressure ratings; this selection includes all grades of stainless steel.
Urethane Coated       Polyurethane or urethane refers a diverse class of materials exhibiting good elongation, recovery, and toughness properties. They are flexible and have good abrasion resistance, and urethane coated metals are used in conduit for many applications. (NOTE: The urethanes of the plastics industry are so named because the repeating units of their structures resemble the chemical urethane.)
Other       Other unlisted, proprietary or specialized material.

   Your choices are...
IMC       Intermediate metal conduit (IMC) has rigid circular raceways with thinner walls than rigid metal conduits (RMC), but the same outside diameter.
RMC       Rigid metal conduit (RMC) is thicker-walled and therefore heavier than intermediate metal conduits (IMC), with the same O.D.
GRC       Galvanized rigid conduit (GRC) is metal conduit that has been coated with zinc, and often other agents, to increase resistance to abrasion and corrosion.
FMC       Flexible metal conduit (FMC) has a helically-wound circular wireway, often used at the end of a rigid run to accommodate for machinery positioning or orientation.
LFMC       Liquid tight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) is constructed as flexible metal conduit (FMC) with a liquid tight plastic covering over the flexible metal core.
RNC       Rigid nonmetallic conduit (RNC) is made from different types of plastics and is typically for areas that are wet or corrosive.
NUCC       Nonmetallic underground conduit with connectors (NUCC) is somewhat flexible, corrosion-resistant, and contains the electrical conductor’s factory installed inside the conduit. They may be supplied in reels for field installation, and constructed to be tough enough to withstand the stresses of field placement.
LFNC       Liquid tight flexible nonmetallic conduit (LFNC) features a liquid-tight jacket over an inner flexible, nonmetallic core. They may be reinforced or corrugated to improve strength.
EMT       Electrical metallic tubing (EMT) has a circular wireway with much more workable properties than intermediate metal conduits (IMC), or rigid metal conduit (RMC). They may be cut, formed, and bent more easily.
ENT       Electrical nonmetallic tubing (ENT) is a circular, corrugated wireway typically made from PVC.
Other       Unlisted, proprietary, or specialized class of conduit.
